The Celtic Sheepskin Co. began way back in the mid 1970’s selling sheepskin Ugg Boots and assorted leather goods. Formerly known as Hide & Feet and then The Original UGG Co, they licensed their UK UGG trademark to Deckers Outdoor Corporation in 1996 and re-branded as The Celtic Sheepskin Co. Celtic Sheepskin has always worked hard to minimise its impact on the environment, actively designing and manufacturing many of its products within the UK, and choosing natural, sustainable and organic fibres over toxic, synthetic and non-biodegradable materials.
They promote recycling throughout the business, use fully recycled packaging and offer a carbon neutral delivery service. In 2008 Celtic was awarded an On Line Green Award (OLGA) in recognition of its commitment to promoting socially responsible online trading. Their boots are branded as Celt Boots and are handmade in their own factory in Newquay, Cornwall using 100% real sheepskins.
