First Street Leather

First Street Leather is located in the quaint Danish village of Solvang, located in the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County. Solvang was founded in the early 1900s by a group of Danes who wanted to start a community where they could foster and preserve their Danish heritage. First Street Leather has been in business in Solvang since 1972. Philip Grant started First Street Leather as a venue to offer the highest quality hand-made leather belts, handbags and wallets to their customers.

In fact, they even manufactured the belts, wallets and purses that he sold at a workshop in nearby Santa Ynez. Shortly after opening, he realized that leather jackets were a great way to wear leather and decided to enter the leather garment business.
